Update
Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka on Jon Hamm, the Beatles, and Becoming Sally Draper
![]()
Do you get recognized by other kids as Sally?
I’ve never gotten recognized by a kid once as Sally. Never, ever. By adults? It’s usually not about me. It’s usually about Jon Hamm when they come up to me.And what’s the biggest question they have about Jon Hamm?
They’ll just come up to me and go, “Is he gorgeous?” [Laughs.] Something — something like that.Okay, so I guess I should ask you that question: Is he gorgeous?
Is he gorgeous? [Laughs.] Well, I’m 10, so … I can’t really answer that question … I suppose …Is he nice?
He’s a really nice person. He’s a very good guy.

30Some news for ‘Friends with Kids’:

Zach Galifianakis talks about Jon’s ‘Between Two Ferns’ interview to Terry Gross.
![]()
GROSS: That’s Zach Galifianakis with Jon Hamm on Zach’s kind of satirical talk show. And how did you come up with that question to ask Jon Hamm about feeling guilty because there’s so many disfigured people in the world and he’s so handsome?
Mr. GALIFIANAKIS: I think that one was just, that just kind of popped into my head, that particular one, if I remember correctly. Because I was sitting really close to him and I, you know, I often wonder that about really beautiful people, that, you know, that’s half the struggle in life is that if you have that, then everything is going to go really smoothly. And I find myself staring at people going, my god, look at those features. But Jon is really, really handsome and also, unfortunately, one of the coolest guys I’ve ever met and it’s just the combination of that just makes me sick.
GROSS: You resent the really attractive people who get the perks that you get when youre beautiful?
Mr. GALIFIANAKIS: I do. And also, it really bugs me when they happen to be really nice and charming, too. Because a lot of people, if they’re good-looking, that’s what they have and it’s, you know, they dont really develop a lot of personality. Jon is incredibly funny and quite charming.

27I added 372 ‘Mad Men’ Episode 4×10 captures.
Update: There’s an interview with Lynn Shelton who directed last night episode of ‘Mad Men’ on Seattle Times.
![]()
She was “astonished” by how little time the actors had to create their performances. “I’ve never had to be a part of something that was so fast.” She recalled one day of shooting what the crew called the Long Day’s Journey into Night scenes with Hamm, as an out-of-control Don tried to cope with his own panic — “11 hours straight of four scenes in a row when he was in this very, very intense level of performance” in which the actor was nonetheless able to keep the acting subtle and never overwrought. “I felt so privileged to be a part of that process.”

And there’s another one with NY Mag:
There was this one day with Jon Hamm, the stuff where he’s having a panic attack and all that stuff was so intense. The level of performance? It’s like he rehearsed Long Day’s Journey Into Night for four months, and now it’s been up on its feet on Broadway for several weeks. That’s where I felt he was able to get in in just a few hours.

The site has been online for 1 year today! This year went so fast that I would have totally forgot about it if I haven’t checked the date last week. Thank you so much to everyone for supporting and visiting the site. It means a lot! It wouldn’t be as much fun without you
And of course, thanks to Jon for inspiring me the site in the first place! Let’s hope for many other years.
And as you can see there’s a new layout on the site and gallery! Both made by the always amazing Cristy at Daxter Studios! Let me know if you see any error or broken links.
