Apparently, the next issue of TV Guide will have a portrait of Elisabeth Moss in which Jon Hamm is quoted as saying “I was along for Fred and Lizzie’s first date, and I felt very ‘big brother’ that night. Still do.”

26Public service announcement: if you’re setting your cap at Don Draper, you might do well to head to BOND where Jon Hamm seems to have set up camp. The handsome actor has been spotted drinking at the money-themed bar at least twice this week and he seems open to talking to civilians.
Boston Herald: “Mad Men” hunk Jon Hamm and his “The Town” co-star Rebecca Hall chatting up a gaggle of gals from Northeastern University over drinks at Bond, then sharing a cab home with the giggly ladies . . .

Earlier this year, it was announced that Universal had picked up the film rights to Rick Remender and Tony Moore’s epic sci-fi comic, “Fear Agent.” And while the series may be wrapping up next year, Remender is hinting that “Fear Agent” may have an even brighter future on the silver screen.
“The details are being ironed out,” Remender teased to Newsarama. “The real announcement will be much cooler and come with fireworks and dancing ladies with boobs. If this happens the way it might happen, it’ll be great.”
Back in August, Remender told MTV News that he hoped “Fear Agent” would become “a giant $100 million dollar movie.” Remender also stated that “Mad Man” star Jon Hamm would be one of his top choices to play the series’ main character, Heath Hudson. Apparently, Jon Hamm is also heavily favored by Remender’s “Fear Agent” co-creator and artist, Tony Moore.
“I know Rick and I both would love to see Jon Hamm don the spacesuit,” said Moore. “After seeing ‘Mad Men,’ we’re convinced he’s our guy.”
Moore also elaborated upon the tone and visual look that he and Remender want to see in the “Fear Agent” film.
“In the end, it couldn’t be made too slick,” Moore said. “Abandoning the Atomic Age aesthetic would undermine a big part of what it’s about, high adventure with that sense of danger and bravery that goes with WW2 heroes and Apollo 11 astronauts. So the insides of the rocket would still have to feel like a submarine, the weapons would have to look like cool old kids’ toys, and the monsters would still have to be built like they walked off a pulp cover.”
“Otherwise, you end up with some kinda soulless overbaked garbage like that ‘Lost in Space’ movie,” he added. “There hasn’t really been much of this brand of fun in Hollywood, so I think it could be an interesting new voice in a sea of ho-hum remakes and spoof flicks.”

26“The Town” cop, actor Titus Welliver had his hunky co-star Jon Hamm’s cell-phone number in his PDA and refused to hand the Mad Man’s digits over to the Track!
“You mean the ugliest man in show business,” Titus teased. “I could get him on the phone right now, but I’m not. I’m sure he’s back at his hotel reading a comic book and sucking his thumb.”
Don Draper? Thumb-sucking? Somehow we don’t believe that.
So, how is Hamm, who plays an FBI agent in Ben Affleck’s new cops ’n robbers flick, handling his newfound fame?
“Not well,” Welliver waxed. “I have to do his hair now.”
Well, if you ever need a stand-in, Titus . . .

24Finally a little something about Jon’s character in Sucker Punch. Not much but better than nothing.
While doing press for Bright Star, HitFix was able to get actress Abbie Cornish to dish some dirt on the upcoming Zack Snyder film Sucker Punch, which began shooting in Vancouver last month.
As you know already, Snyder has called the film “Alice in Wonderland with machine guns”, a 1950’s-period action movie which tells the story of a girl named Baby Doll (Emily Browning) who is confined to a mental institution by her evil stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While imprisoned, she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain. In this fantasy world, where she needs to steal five objects to help her out before she is deflowered by a vile man. So what juicy tidbits did Cornish spill? Details after the jump.
Cornish says Snyder’s latest is “seriously, six films in one almost,” revealed that she carries “a good shot gun, a knife and a broad four”, and talked briefly about her duel roles: “I have had a field day not only play the girl in the psych ward, but the girl in crazy action sequences killing 20 guys in row.” Sounds cool to me, and we know Snyder will be able to make it look cool (my problem with most films that feature women kicking ass is that it looks forced and fake). You can read more comments from Cornish on HitFix.
The film also stars Jamie Chung (Dragonball Evolution), Jenna Malone (Into The Wild, Donnie Darko), Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) play Cornish’s fellow inmates who also travel into the alternate reality. Carla Gugino has also been cast as a nurse in the insane asylum who becomes a madam at a brothel in the film’s alternate reality, and Mad Men star Jon Hamm plays High Roller, the owner of the sub world brothel. Warner Bros has previously announced a March 25th 2011 release date.

15Here’s your chance to look just like “Mad Men” rake Don Draper.
Well, OK — at least to dress like Don Draper.
Brooks Brothers is offering a limited-edition (only 250) “Mad Men Edition” suit, retailing at $998, which is “inspired” by the 1960s-era office duds worn by Draper (Jon Hamm) in the AMC series which is set among ’60s-era Madison Avenue ad execs.
The suit is available from Monday, Oct. 19, through the Nov. 8 “Mad Men” season finale.
Designed by renowned Janie Bryant, the “Mad Men Edition” suit, “evokes the clean style and sophistication of the early 1960s with a trimmer silhouette and period details,” according to press materials.
It’s offered in a “static” grey sharkskin fabric and features a two-button jacket with narrow lapels, diagonal pockets and side vents (no hat included).
